Kelli Ludovici-Grady(Owner/Director/Instructor):

Owner/Director, Choreographer, and Instructor for the Ludovici Dance Academy.  Instructor for Repertoire, Teens, Preteens, Junior Jazz, Junior Hip Hop, and  Ballet Basics. Kelli Ludovici graduated 1991, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in dance from Point Park University. Kelli studied under Douglas Bentz, Nicolas Petrov, Jodi Welch, and Ronald Tassone while acquiring her degree in dance at Point Park University.  She continuously updates her dance career through continued training, attending teacher conventions, and workshops throughout the year at New York City including Dance Alliance, JUMP, Nuvo, and West Coast Dance and other Organizations.  This past year, she attended the Dance Teacher’s Summit in New York City as well as the Dane World Congress at Point Park University.  She has studied with several of New York’s finest jazz instructors including Frank Hatchett, Joe Lantern (Julliard Dance Instructor) A.C. Ciulla (Choreographer and Tony Award nominee for “Footloose” on Broadway), and Mia Michaels (Judge for ‘So You Think You Can Dance’) Choreographer for Prince and Celine Dion’s famous Las Vegas Show, Madonna, and Mia Michael’s RAW Co.), Dan Karety (Judge ‘So You Think You CanDance’) Nick Lassarini and Travis Wall (Winner & first runner up ‘So You Think You Can Dance’).  In addition to her Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Dance, Kelli became certified to teach tap under the Direction of Mike Schulster (Revolution Tap in NYC).  Kelli has choreographed several several Repertoire competition numbers, including  winning several “Outstanding Choreography Awards” throughout the years and was the recipient of “The NYCDA Critic’s Choice Award” and the “Starquest Odessy Award”.  Kelli’s Studio was honored at ‘Access Broadway’ for winning the Top Overall Award, Best Dance Studio in the Pittsburgh area two years in a row.  Of the 27 years Ludovici Dance Academy has been opened, Kelli has already seen her students further their love of dance making their dreams a reality.  Former students have performed on Broadway for the Rockets, Broadway Shows, in Las Angeles Cruise Ships, Disney, and Contemporary Professional Companies.  She has had the pleasure of watching one of her students making it four rounds to choreography on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.  Kelli values her time spent with the she students as well as her two daughters (Cassidy (20) and Kelsey (17) who grew up with the studio.  As all parents, she is especially proud of their accomplishments in dance.

Tracy Syphard Shaner (Assistant Director):

Assistant Director, Repertoire Instructor, Mommy and Me, Teens, Tap, and Children ages 7-12
Tracy earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the Ohio State University, graduating summa cum laude with distinction. She also updates her training attending convention, as well as training in New York City with master instructors. Tracy is the founder and artistic director of the TLS Dance Company, New Castle’s first and only professional modern dance company. The Company has performed with various artists at the Walnut Street Lodge, Slippery Rock University, the Hot Rod Cafe, and the Pittsburgh Dance Alloy. Tracy was the musical choreographer for Wilmington High School from 1993-2007. As choreographer at Wilmington High School, Tracy earned the “Henry Mancini Award of Excellence” for her work on The Music Man and Kiss Me Kate. In addition, she has choreographed musicals for Mohawk High School and the New Castle Playhouse. In the summer of 2002 Tracy attended Ohio State University where she received her Teacher’s Certification for Labanotion which is on record at the Dance Notation Bureau in New York City. Her choreography for the American Dance Repertoire has won several “Outstanding Choreography Awards” throughout the years. She has won the Apogee Award with Stairway at Starquest and won the Overall Senior Line Score with a special choreography award also with Stairway at Headliners. She has also been a guest instructor at Slippery Rock University’s Dance Department. Tracy is very excited to to be dancing with Tori on stage in “Mommy& Me” for the first time and seeing Ross as JR Captain Hook in the Ballet.

Sarah Kosier (Instructor):

Sarah has been with The Ludovici Dance Academy for the past 20 years and played many different roles at the studio.  Sarah danced as a student for 13 years attending numerous conventions and competitions.  She attended On Stage New York, was in the Nationals in 2010 and 2011 before her final rolei in her senior year  at the studio, playing Mother Gothel in the Repunzal Ballet in 2012. Sarah is a graduate from Penn State University, attending the main campus in 2016, receiving a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology.  During her time in college, Sara returned to our school eCH Yer to assist backstage with the studio’s Spring Performance.  During the past several years, Sarah has had the opportunity to become a Dance Teacher Assistant for both Tracy and Kelli.  Sarah plays a major role as part of our Academy and loves working with children of all ages.

Christina Kardambikus-Karmecy (Instructor):

Christina started her career at the Ludovici Dance Academy and immediately fell in love with the art of dance.  At age 14, she experienced her first professional dance experience when she was chosen to perform atas Clara/Little Girlin the LasAngeles edition of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in 1999.  Christina danced at the college level as a member and student at Point Park University’s Pre-Professional dance program during her sophomore and junior years of high school.  She continued with her dance career with both Point Park University and the Ludovici Dance Academy while in high school.  Christina left high school 1 year early obtaing her diploma 1 tear early. Christina was accepted into the State University of New York at Purchas (SUNY Purchase) dance program, Christina attended several Sumer dance programs including: Point Park University’s Summer Dance Intensive, the University of Akron’s Summer Dance Program, Boston Ballet’s Dance Lab, Ballet Mats Summer Dance Intrnsive. The Julliard School’s Dance, New York City Dance Alliance’s Summer Dance Intensive, Joffrey Ballet School’s Summer Dance, and the American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Dance Intensive in NYC.  Following her two years at SUNY Purchase. Christina moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. to join Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Pre Professional program.  Christina was able to perform in The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s production of The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.  During this time, Christina also continued her education at Point Park University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and an M.B.A. with an emphasis on Sports, Arts, and Education Management.  Christina also danced in the 2005 Radio City Christmas Spectacular, performed in The Grand Ole Opry in  Nashville, Tennessee in various roles of the adult female dancers as well as being featured as a “Claudette”.  Christina has also previously worked at The Talent Group as a Talent Agent in Pittsburgh, PA and taught dance for Point Park University’s Dance Program.  Christina now works as an elementary school counselor at the Seneca Valley School District.
